I guess it had to happen at some point, and last week was finally the day I turned 37! Yep… turning 37 on a Wednesday was pretty boring, it felt like just a regular day, except for the delicious Thai food take out my husband brought home from my favorite restaurant and from the delicious Nutella cake my Mom had made!
Of course you already know how much I love birthdays, especially mine!!! I could easily scream out loud to everybody that it is my birthday. You know, one day that is all mine… well, almost all mine as I had to share it with three young boys from my school, but that’s ok!
My youngest son has for sure inherited my love to throw a good party. On the Saturday before, my Mom, Frank, Jojo and Lulu were all coming over for diner to celebrate my birthday, so we woke up early and baked a few cakes, made lots of food and decorated the house. Logan wanted me to have a Minnie Mouse Party so bad! Thanks for the idea Loggy, of course I want a Minnie Mouse Party, who wouldn’t?
We gathered all of our Disney books, watched a few movies while prepping, found a bunch of Mickey Ears and got to wear all of our Disney gear. After all, turning 37 is not that bad! We really had a great time, ate cake and lit the candles over 37 times for sure! Logan thought there’d be way more people, as he kept on asking me where everyone were, but it was a fun, low key, last minute family get together. Just the perfect way to celebrate a 37th birthday!
The next morning was less pleasant, as Logan started to be sick, then missed 2 days of school, then my birthday, and then two days later, it was Liam’s turn to be stuck at home, sick. We try but we rarely have one on one dates with the boys, so on Saturday I decided to keep up with the birthday theme and brought Logan to Disney on Ice show. Bought some tickets couple hours prior to the show, we both got into our Disney gear and putted on our Mickey ears and on our way we were. I love these little dates with my boys, I have to plan more of these.
After five minutes there, I caved in and bought the –stupid– Disney wand… I actually don’t think there’s anything stupid about it, I just think that 35$ is a bit expensive and every time they see one they want one. At least this time I only had to buy one! We had the best time together, sharing a pizza slice while watching the show, talking about how much we love each other and how much we couldn’t wait to tell poor sick Liam about our magical day.
Can’t wait for the next date, not sure what we’ll do yet, but it will be special because time together always is. As for Disney, well, you can never go wrong with ANY Disney idea or activities. Hopefully my birthday wish to go on the Disney cruise will come true sooner rather than later!
Hope you had a wonderful week my friends! It’s now time to relax and enjoy our March Break vacation. Have a magical weekend and March Break mylemondroplife followers!
